Burns Studio shutters its doors after more than 90 years
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - For 93 years, Burns Studio at 13th and State Street in Boise has been chronicling the lives of Idahoans through photography.

Over the years, the studio has taken images of grocery giant Joe Albertson, potato king J.R. Simplot and U.S. Sen. Frank Church.

Owner Marilyn Bickle told KBOI-TV she estimates they've taken about 25,000 senior class photos over the years.

The cameras at Burns Studio captured countless lives. KBOI reporter Scott Logan had his high school class photo taken at Burns as did morning meteorologist Bob Anthony.

But now the studio is closing - the current owners want to retire and focus on on their website BoiseByBurns.com

The building has already been sold as an era comes to an end.

The Burns Studio photographic paraphernalia is up for sale through Saturday.
