Driver cited after hitting school bus in rural Canyon County

CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) -- A 55-year-old driver has been cited after he struck a school bus with children on board early Tuesday morning, the Canyon County Sheriff's office says.

The crash occurred when the driver, who was not identified, failed to yield at a stop sign on Wagner and Purple Sage, the sheriff's office says. The driver was treated for minor leg pain, but was treated by paramedics at the scene.

No one on the bus was injured.

The driver was cited for inattentive driving.
