Car plows through Nampa house, woman inside taken to hospital

NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) - A Nampa woman was taken to the hospital after a car crashed through her house early Saturday morning. Nampa Police say the crash happened off East Colorado, when a SAAB came around a corner and smashed into the right side of a house.

When neighbors hurried over to the crash scene, they found two men and a woman were in the car.

"I ripped out some of the siding to see if anybody was alive," said Steven Rhodes of Nampa. "We went in there and there was three people in the front. The two males they weren't responsive for a while."

Neighbors say they heard sounds coming from inside the house and realized a woman was inside. "We didn't even know there was another lady in the house until she said something," Rhodes said.

KBOI 2NEWS talked to the sister-in law to the woman that was trapped in the house.  She says the woman is recovering from surgery after the crash, but she is not sure how she's doing.

Nampa Police say that the driver of the car is 37-year-old Christopher Slack.  They say he hasn't been charged with anything yet but, they do think alcohol was a factor.
