Flash flood warning issued for Boise Foothills expires

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The National Weather Service has canceled its flash flood warning for the Boise Foothills.

The NWS issued the alert at about 9:40 a.m. for north Ada County due to a thunderstorm cell moving through Boise. Affected areas included Boise, Garden City, Aldape Summit, Bogus Basin and Hidden Springs.

Officials say flooding in the foothills is possible.

Homeowners near gulches and streams in the foothills were asked to monitor conditions closely.

Idaho Power reported earlier that more than 600 customers lost power near the Boise Towne Square Mall.
