Elderly woman dies in Idaho mobile home fire

PRIEST RIVER, Idaho (AP) - An 82-year-old Priest River woman has died in a mobile home fire.

Volunteers from the West Pend Oreille Fire Department discovered the body of Muriel Bennett after responding to the fire at 9:30 p.m. Monday.

The fire burned for about five hours, according to a story published in the Coeur d'Alene Press.

The Idaho State Fire Marshal and Bonner County sheriff's office are investigating the cause of the fire.

Priest River Police Chief Ray Roberts says the fire looks accidental, but officials plan an autopsy to verify that. Results won't be available for at least a few weeks.
