Prosecutors: Woman who put body in crawl space pleads guilty

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (KBOI) -- A woman who shot and killed a man and then lived at his home for more than two weeks has pleaded guilty.

The Ada County Prosecutor's Office says Jordan Marie Shaver pleaded guilty to second degree murder for killing Brian Barton Geddes in October 2012. Officials say she lived in his home, drove his vehicles and spent his money until family members confronted her.

Garden City Police eventually found Geddes' body wrapped in a tarp underneath the home in a crawl space. Prosecutors say they will recommend life in prison with the first 25 years fixed, which would mean she wouldn't be eligible for parole until after those 25 years.

She's scheduled to be sentenced in March.
