MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) -- A 40-year-old Meridian man died over the weekend after a fight at a local bar, police say.
Meridian Police says Dale Andrew West died after a fight at the 127 Club in Meridian early Saturday morning. The fight took place between 1-2 a.m. The Ada County Coroner's Office says West died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea told KBOI 2News that the fight involved five to seven people inside the bar. West drove to a friends house to sleep on a couch but never woke up.
Police say they are looking for witnesses to the fight. At this time, there are no suspects.
"We don't have any strong suspects at this time and that's why we're going to the public," said Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea. "We're asking anybody that was in the club late Friday evening, early Saturday morning that they would please come forward, provide us with any information that they could reference the people involved in this altercation."
Basterrechea said there was no video from inside or outside the bar.
