NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) -- A 22-year-old transient led Nampa Police on a wild police chase of about 300 feet Tuesday morning, officials say.

NPD says officers spotted Shane Tucker at an apartment complex on the 1900 block of 1st Street North. When officers approached the man, police say, he took off in a Dodge pickup, but crashed a few hundred feet later in an adjacent apartment complex. They say he hit two parked cars.

Tucker got out of the truck and ran through an apartment. Officers arrested him moments later.

Tucker has been booked into the Canyon County Jail, where he was arrested on numerous charges.
