Carjacking suspect might be hiding in woods with teen girlfriend
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- The carjacking suspect who's the target of a local manhunt is now believed to be hiding in the Payette National Forest.

Nampa Police Sgt. Tim Randall told KBOI 2News that 36-year-old Rodney Lee Seiber is believed to be hiding in the woods and could be somewhere between Cambridge and Hells Canyon, near the McCormick Campground.

Seiber, who's suspected of carjacking a Norco employee by knife point, and then disappearing into a Nampa area cornfield, is also believed to be with his girlfriend, 18-year-old Brittany Robbins.

"Family members of Seiber have said that he knows this is his third strike and is not going back to prison," Randall said. "If anyone is camping or out cutting wood in the area they are urged to call 911 and not approach them."

NPD says the employees with the Payette National Forest tipped off police because Randall and his family often travel to the forest to cut wood.

A Brittany Robbins born in 1995 was arrested last week on drug charges in Caldwell, according to Idaho court records.

Police say Seiber has threatened suicide or suicide by cop.
