OSP: Semi driver has heart attack on I-84 near Baker City

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Oregon State Police say a California man died after he suffered an apparent heart attack while driving a semi truck on Interstate 84 near Baker City on Tuesday.

OSP says Douglas Caeton, 49, of Colfax, California, was driving westbound near milepost 307 at about 11 a.m. when witnesses saw his truck leave the roadway and come to rest about 50 feet from the pavement.

An off-duty doctor was on the scene and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

OSP says Caeton was taken to Saint Alphonsus in Baker City where he was later pronounced deceased.
