Witnesses help police nab Boise bank robbery suspect

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- Boise Police have tracked down a 24-year-old man who tried to rob a bank Monday evening, authorities say.

Officers were called out to a bank on the 3600 block of W. State Street just after 6 p.m. Witnesses told officers a man handed a teller a threatening note demanding money, but he suddenly left without any cash.

During the investigation BPD said a witness told officers she saw the suspect drive off in a red Dodge Neon. A few minutes later, a Garden City Police officer spotted the vehicle off State Street and Clithero Drive. During the traffic stop, police say they found the driver, Taylor Worley of Caldwell, with evidence linking him to the robbery.

He's been booked into the Ada County Jail on felony robbery.
