HAMMETT, Idaho (KBOI) - The megaload drew crowds Sunday at its parking spot off Highway 78. People went to get a glimpse of the oil refinery equipment, which is making its way to Canada.

"The family wanted to see this major megaload," said Bill Assendrup of Kuna, "and we were not disappointed at all. It's huge."

The shipment is 380 feet long and weighs 450 tons. It's only allowed to move at night.

"I drive pilot cars, so I've done some oversize loads, but nothing like this," said Tammy Gray of Grandview. "I would love to see them moving, actually moving, because I don't know how they do it. It's pretty remarkable."

The megaload traveled more than 80 miles from Marsing to Hammett Saturday night into Sunday morning. It will pass through Mountain Home, then Fairfield and Carey as it heads north to Canada.
