BSU hires Eastern Oregon hoops coach as operations director
Boise State announced the hiring of Isaac Williams as Director of Basketball Operations on Wednesday.

Williams comes to Boise State after eight seasons with Eastern Oregon University, including the last four as head coach. After a four-win season in 2009, EOU won 91 games in Williams' next three season.

In 2012-2013, Williams led the Mountaineers to a 28-5 record; the best season in the program's 84-year history. The team was ranked number-one in the NAIA's Division II for five weeks, and Williams was recognized by his peers as the Cascade Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year.

Williams announced in May that he would not be returning to coach the Mountaineers, leaving to pursue other opportunities. He had been in LeGrande since arriving as a student in 1995.

On the Boise State staff, Williams replaces Chris Cobbina who left the team after three seasons. The Director of Basketball Operations is primarily responsible for organizing team travel, video and scouting reports and community events.
