Yotes #2 seed in NAIA Tourney, but start with hometown team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Second-seed College of Idaho drew a difficult draw in their first NAIA Division II National Championships appearance in seven years, meeting host College of the Ozarks in Wednesday’s feature game.

Tip-off from C of O’s home court inside Keeter Gymnasium is set for 7 p.m. (MT) next Wednesday night.

The Bobcats (21-10) are the fourth-place team in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference and advanced to their conference tournament semifinals, before falling to Oklahoma Wesleyan. Steve Sheppard’s team is paced by 6-7 forward Nathane Simniok, who averages 17 points and eight rebounds. Half of C of O’s roster is 6-5 or taller.

The Yotes (28-5) are making their 18th all-time appearance at Nationals – and their 10th at the NAIA Division II level. C of I advanced to the national quarterfinals in Branson during the 2000-01 season, while the Coyotes won the 1996 national title over Whitworth. C of I currently owns the longest active win streak in the NAIA Division II at 15 games.

NeuLion, the NAIA’s official video-streaming company of 17 select NAIA national championship events, will be broadcasting the first 30 games of the Division II Men's Basketball National Championship.

Don't miss the live video stream of all of the action running from March 12 - 18.
