Ralph says NHL lockout means more compeition in ECHL
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - With NHL Players locked out, the AHL and ECHL have seen a bump in talent with so many skilled players just looking for a place to skate.

The plethora of players means really good hockey being played at the minor league level, because of all the competition.

"I really do think that these guys, they understand how difficult this season's going to be. And they all understand that it's very competitive. There's an influx of players so everyone's ... It's going to be very competitive. Everyone's fighting for very few jobs, and once things do get resolved, you know, I think the best players are gonna get pulled up," said Idaho Steelheads head coach Brad Ralph.

The winless Steelheads trying to find their first victory of the Coach Ralph era when they take on the Colorado Eagles Wednesday night in Loveland, CO. The puck drops just after 7 pm (MTN).
