Report: USU's Gary Andersen to take Wisconsin job
Report: Gary Andersen will leave Utah State University for the Wisconsin Badgers head coaching position.

(KBOI) - Just last week the local media flooded Boise State University Athletic Director Mark Coyle with questions about Chris Petersen's interest in the University of Wisconsin head coaching job. Tuesday night, the Wisconsin State Journal said there's nothing for Bronco Nation to worry about, because the Badgers have found their guy.

As Tom Mulhern reports, a source close to the UW football program told him Utah State's Gary Andersen is Wisconsin's choice to replace Bret Bielema. The source said Andersen planned to inform his staff of the decision Tuesday night.

The Salt Lake City native signed an extension with Utah State in October to keep him in Logan through the 2018 season. In late November, Andersen announced his intention to remain at Utah State despite receiving a lot of interest from other schools. Apparently Wisconsin changed his mind.
