Blazers sever ties with the Stampede
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - For the past two seasons the Idaho Stampede have been the lone NBA Development League affiliate of the Portland Trail Blazers, but that partnership will end this year.

The Blazers opted out of their original three-year contract with Idaho, leaving the Stampede searching for a new NBA connection.

Idaho's Bill Ilett told KBOI 2 Sports the Stampede's affiliation with the Trail Blazers will continue through the end of the 2013-14 season. At that time, Ilett believes the Stampede will create a partnership with another NBA team.

He hopes the Stampede find another one-on-one agreement like the one they had with the Blazers, and believes there are NBA teams looking for the same connection.
