At 2:30 p.m. the Bull Trout Lake Campgrounds were evacuated by the Custer County Sheriff and U.S. Forest Service due to an approaching forest fire. The campground had only a few vacancies and close to 100 people had to be evacuated, including Boy Scout Troop 62 who proudly posted their troop flag at the campsite. The photo is at the entrance/exit of the campground at Highway 21. Everyone evacuated had to take Highway 21 West since the road was closed eastbound.
